Services/Functions

CAFCAN is a registered charitable organization whose primary focus is on building and strengthening the service framework for African Canadian children, youth, and families through culturally safe individual and group counselling supports, case management services, employment services, youth mentorship, and youth outreach programs. 


Youth Outreach Program:

Prevention and intervention program that helps targeted, at-risk, racialized youth ages 16-24 to transition from the criminal justice system. SAPACCY Program

Costs/Referral Requirements/Access

 

All CAFCAN programs are Free of charge.

 

Self-referral for the YOW program or referral by care provider, clinic, etc. After speaking with intake, there is a 2-3 week wait time to be partnered with a counsellor, therapist or social worker based on needs. The YOW program officially begins in the Fall of 2023.
